Hello friends!!!
I hope some of you are still with me...sorry I have not been updating this site as much. It is hard enough to keep one site updated, let alone two!!
The workouts are going AMAZING!!!!
I am so excited to see the changes in my body. In fact, my trainer commented as we were walking into the gym that I was looking really good. I had on one of the few t-shirts that I wear to train in, but it looked better on me!! SCORE!!
Last night was a seminar at our gym...
The guy was talking about proper hydration, etc. They wanted us to spend $159.00 for a 10 week program. I don't think so. I am doing good with Tatum as it is. He had some good points though...
- Keep sodium under 2,000mg a day
- Drink plenty of fluids
- Take B-Complex supplements (50mg), another B-6(50mg), Potassium(99mg), and 1000mg of Vitamin C
- No pasta, rice, or potatoes for the 1st 30 days
- Test your urine with a pH strip twice a day to make sure you are properly hydrated
- Chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, fruits and veggies are at the top of the list to eat
- The only way to target our "muffin top", lower stomach is my doing exercises to strengthen the butt
I asked my trainer, and she did not see me wasting the $$$ on the program. I can do it at home by myself. So, that is what I will try and do. He did mention that one day a week it is good to "pig out" per se.
So, Tatum's Mom was at the seminar yesterday, and I talked to her about hiring Tatum one more day per week to focus on cardio. You see, my cardio is not as intense as it needs to be. I cruise around 122 for a heart rate. It should be about 150 for cardio training. We calculated it last week, and I have been thinking about it ever since. Well, we did an interval training session today. And...if you are friends with me on Facebook...look at my status. It SUCKED!! HARDEST WORKOUT EVER IN MY LIFE!!!
- 5 min warm up on treadmill 3mph 1.5 incline
- 3 sets of 10 chest press 12lb
- 1 min of step ups (KILLER)
- Planks (KILLER)
- Rows - machine - 45lbs
- 1 min of step ups (KILLER)
- Romanian dead lifts 12lb 3/10
- 100's - hold abs tight in a crunch position and raise and lower your arms really fast (KILLER)
- Fly's - 8lb 3/10
- Hammer Curls - 12lb 3/10
- Lat pulldowns 45 3/10
- Lat raise 8lb 3/10
- 1 min of step ups (KILLER)
- 1 lap around track cool down
- Stretching
I am sure I am leaving something out, but oh my word...I was sweating through the entire workout!! I drank a large sports bottle of water during it!!!
So, the inches are coming off like crazy, but the weight not so much. Don't get me wrong...I have lost weight, but not as much as I was hoping. Hopefully with proper hydration, farmers market season, and my new interval workouts, the scale will move as well.
I will post a new picture on my other site soon...hopefully we can see a change!
